Okay, so anyone who's ever shared a room with me knows I'm kind of a crazy sleeper. I guess I'm what you'd call a "deep sleeper" and I dream weird stuff and get involved. I've woken up in strange places. Samuel says it happens about once a week. One time he walked in the bedroom when I had already fallen asleep, and I was on my arms and legs, spider-like stance, kicking the wall with all my might Then he opened the door, and I looked at him and said, "Dad?" That's when I woke up, my heart pounding. I have no idea what that dream was about.
Last night was pretty funny. I guess I was having a dream about a steam roller or something, all I know is I woke up on the floor by my bed, all wrapped up in the sheet, cocoon-like, unable to move, and hurting! Apparently, Samuel said he barely touched me and all of a sudden I started rolling up in the sheet, right off the bed and onto the floor. He said it was very military-like. And he was laughing his head off. He had to get up and unroll me out of the sheets, and I didn't have a clue what happened. As he explained, I vaguely recalled that I was dreaming about some steamroller thing (anyone seen Cars? It was that mean grasscutting machine) and I was in its path, and I had to roll away very quickly. And I did. Except I landed on the floor. Tied up in sheets. Well, we couldn't fall back asleep for awhile, we couldn't stop laughing. How's that for a funny story.
To any of you who haven't met my cute hubby yet, here's one of my favorite pictures of us celebrating his 29th birthday.
